...Not unlike humans, each dog
has its own character, abilities
and weaknesses.

Hence it is particularly important
for a dog and its human to get
along well. After all, this is
a bond that will last for many
years.

To be sure of making a good
match, it is especially important
for me to have some information
on the future owners:

  • What is your reason for wanting a dog ? (e.g., as a family dog or a "work dog", or for breeding.)
  • What kind of household do you have ? (e.g., are there children or other pets?)
  • Furthermore, it is also important for me to know something about external factors (is there a garden, for instance?) and whether the dog can receive proper care (do you have time for taking walks, etc.), since I only entrust my dogs to people who will be certain to take good care of them.

I use the information on the interested parties to recommend the dog that best fits their needs. Of course, that is more difficult the younger the dogs are, since certain qualities only develop or become discernible in the course of time, the same as in people. Nonetheless, my great store of experience has given me a certain "feeling" for specific qualities, even in young puppies.

The delivery of each dog is based on a proper agreement with several options depending on the purpose of the acquisition. One clause that is in every agreement specifies my right to review the dog's well-being and, if appropriate, to demand its return should circumstances prove to be different than indicated at first.
